On October 25, Lombardy Region's Regional Councillor for Family, Social Solidarity, Disability, and Equal Opportunities Elena Lucchini, accompanied by Regional Councillor Angelo Veronesi, visited Sim-patia.

The President and the Coordinators of the various areas presented "the chain of Services for Autonomy" implemented at Sim-patia; the Technological Pole, and in particular the Domotic Elevator, whose technical specifications were requested, aroused much interest.

The visit ended in Grandate at the Cohousing headquarters, welcomed by Mayor Alberto Peverelli. The value of this cohousing model was appreciated, as was the ability of collaboration between the Public Entity and the Third Sector as a forward-looking opportunity with respect to the new loneliness, a model not only for Grandate.

It was, moreover, an opportunity to personally see the application of home automation devices in some apartments occupied by people with disabilities, through the implementation of a "smart lamp" capable of signaling to the operator any difficulties or falls and a home automation lock that allows for opening in case there are urgent problems and people are unable to do so.
