EVENT WEEK: “WITHOUT LIMITS – WE LEAVE NO ONE BEHIND”

From Monday, November 28, to Sunday, December 4 a week of workshops, sporting activities, and shows organized by local institutions operating in the field of disability will be held in Como and its province to celebrate the International Day of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The organizations of the province of Como come together to demonstrate that, together, it is really possible to build an inclusive society.

"Without limits - We leave no one behind" - this is the title of the initiative—aims to raise awareness among citizens through original and engaging tools: scuba diving, basketball, and rowing training; photographic exhibitions; film forums; theatrical performances; testimony; and workshops for schools.

The activities are FREE and open to everyone ON RESERVATION, designed to promote inclusion with a view to involvement and participation. 

The initiative is promoted by the Guanelliana Solidarity Foundation in collaboration with 23 other organizations operating in the field of disability, including Sim-patia: AIFO (Italian Association of Friends of Raoul Follereau), ASCI Don Guanella OdV (Association for Solidarity and International Cooperation), Basket Como 1956, Como Municipality, Olgiatese Social Services Consortium, Agorà 97 Cooperative, Noi Genitori Cooperative, NoiVoiLoro Cooperative, Social Cooperative, Differently Parents, Cometa Foundation, Somaschi Foundation, Fuoriclasse Academy, Invincible Diving ASD, La Nostra Famiglia, OVCI (Volunteer Organization for International Cooperation), Don Guanella Work and Guanellian Missionary Presence, Piccola Casa Federico Ozanam, SOS Malnate, A Heart for Autism, Italian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired.

2. Conference "Towards Inclusive Communities - Strategies and Actions" - SATURDAY DECEMBER 3 2022
At the University of Insubria, in Sant'Abbondio - Via Regina Teodolinda, 37 Como

Hours: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
A moment of testimony and discussion, in which Sim-patia will also participate with its speakers, to offer concrete ideas for working in more inclusive ways through experiences on the territory of international cooperation.
